Amanda moves further away

Amanda has been at her grandfather in law's house visiting this last week. He has offered Aaron and Amanda jobs at his company. He is going to help them get into a house and get on their feet. I think this will be a very good thing for them. I can also stop being the bad guy. I have just about had it with all the trouble and drama. It really is true that what you put your parents through, comes back to haunt you! So beware all you youngsters...treat your parents good. Karma works!

My little girl (circa 1990)

Yolo County 101

I am trying to be a more well rounded person. (besides my shape) I enjoy school, at least the classes I have taken so far for my nursing prerequisites. So I have decided to take advantage of a free class teaching how Yolo County as a governmental agency works.

Maybe Next Time...

Pioneer Junior Patriots Pee Wee Football Team had a long hard game on Saturday. They played against a Division One team, the Chico Jaguars, that had many more players. The boys were very hot and tired by the end of this game. They tried so hard, but lost. Jacob had a couple good tackles and a reception. No harm done, this was not a league game. It was just a good warm-up!

Next week, off to Yuba City!!!

Wheatland Football Jamboree

What a blast. It was a long day (especially since I had a late night at the fair), but it the boys did a great job. Jacob got lots of playing time and I got lots of pictures.

Winters Football Jamboree

The first football event of the year and I was stuck at work. The good news is that I have taken off every Saturday until the end of the season. I understand that the boys did quite well against all three opponents, Woodland Junior Wolves, Winters Junior Warriors, and Yuba City Junior Honkers. I made Jason take pictures, but he missed all the tackles Jake made, cuz they were on the other side of the field....dang it.

Dog Training

Jack and I are taking doggie obedience classes. I am really looking forward to them. I decided to sign up for them when I was reading how smart Australian Shepherds are but how high energy and destructive they can be if not kept busy and exercised. That explains a lot about Jack!

Camping Again!!

Collins Lake (see how low)

Jason teaching Jacob to split wood.

Another weekend of camping...this time we went to Collins Lake. Although the lake was rather low, it didn't take away from the great time we had. Jake went fishing, rode on a paddleboat, and went swimming. Jason proved himself a great campfire chef. I also found out that his is a much better tent folder than I am. I remembered to put on sunscreen so I didn't fry like I did last weekend. I was also able to read a book this weekend. I haven't been able to finish a book that fast in a long time! It was wonderful.
